will be installed by Memorial Day.
The Quitman Heritage
Foundation is a non-profit organization with the mission
of preserving and sustaining the culture and heritage of
our city, county, Texas and the rural lifestyle we
appreciate. We are asking for your assistance with
the preservation of our rich Texas Culture and in
telling the story of our heritage.
Commemorative Bricks
Buy a commemorative brick to
be placed in the walkway at the Governor Jim Hogg City
Park. Your brick will be etched with your named donor or
memorial name. Your contribution will make it possible
to expand the Light Crust Doughboys Hall of Fame and
Museum, bring recognition to the tribute to our hometown
celebrity, Sissy Spacek, and complete other projects and
sustain the culture and heritage of our area.
The
Perfect Gift
Add your name or the name of
a family member or friend to the Heritage Walkway.
Commemorative bricks are the perfect way to acknowledge
special achievements-graduation, retirement, or special
awards: celebrate joyous occasions - birthday,
engagement, marriage, anniversary; honor or memorialize
loved one - children, grandchildren, parents,
grandparents, faculty members, friends.
The
Bricks
All bricks will be
prominently placed. Special requests cannot be granted
for specific locations. The brick color will be River
Red. Each brick will be engraved in the same typeface.
Orders will be accepted at any time, but to be included
in the Second Installation Phase, in time for Christmas, orders must be received by
November 22, 2006. Bricks
will be sold until available space sells out.
